IGF-1 LR3 (Long-Arg3-IGF-1) is a synthetic analog of human Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 incorporating a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension and an Arg3 substitution. These modifications reduce binding to all six insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) by more than 100-fold compared to native IGF-1 while fully preserving IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) binding affinity.
