C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH. Anti-inflammatory activity via MC1R agonism and NF-kappaB suppression. Key compound for mucosal and systemic inflammation research.
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (alpha-MSH 11-13), retaining the anti-inflammatory bioactivity of the parent peptide in a minimized scaffold. KPV acts primarily through MC1R (melanocortin receptor 1) and, independently, through direct intracellular NF-kappaB pathway modulation. Its small size enables excellent tissue penetration.
